Comet Fabricating and Welding of Rockford, Illinois, founded by Anthony Capriola, Sr., and Joseph Capriola, Jr., in 1973, was a start-up family business with 3 employees and a 2,000 square foot facility. Today, Comet is a well known and respected business with 45 employees and a 60,000 square-foot facility. We’ve come a long way, evolving from a small weld shop into a precision sheet metal and large weldments facility with added capabilities.
